Working ruthlessly the entire day when you are on your bed, just to fall asleep, you wish to have a single friend with whom you could share happenings of the day. One with whom you are the real you, to whom you can say anything you want to without any hesitation, and the one you trust blindly to be with you anytime you are in need. In this blog, we will try to find out the pillars of a strong friendship.
Let's start with understanding what is a true friendship.
The True Essence Of Friendship:
A friendship in which you think of giving more to the other person than receiving justifies the meaning of a true and strong friendship. So, rather than thinking about what you can get from a friend, you should focus on what you can give. And trust me if you follow this in your real life you will certainly see the foundation of strong bonds as its result sooner or later and this would give you the true essence of friendship. What is to be noted here is the willingness of the other person. Friendship is a free bond without any restrictions. You mustn't ever try to force it on anyone. Your frequencies about the friendship and about each other should match and if they do, you together can do wonders. A friend can be anyone of your family member, your mother, your dad, your colleague, a person younger than you, or a person who is older. No matter who is your friend, what matters is how you value the person and your friendship.
Without further ado let's dig deeper into how one can make his/her friendship the strongest bond ever.
Pillars Of Strong Friendship:
~ Frequent Talks:
Frequent talks can help to strengthen your preexisting bond. The more you talk the more you water the plant of your friendship. Try to diversify your conversation bringing every aspect of your life into it whether it be the funniest experiences of your life to the worst. Talk about your future plans. Try to indulge your whole in the conversation. Talking about past happenings can be the foundation of new memories.
~ Plan trips together:
An outing with friends is the best way to know each other more deeply. Eat food together, have party time, plan adventures, and utilize every second of the time you get. Try to make the trips simple though beautiful and memorable.
~ No secrets formula:
A friend is the one with whom you can share all of your secrets, and not the one you can hide from. Hiding things from one another is never a good choice. This could lead to future misunderstandings so can act as trouble for your friendship.
~ Tell them their importance:
Sometimes it is necessary for you to share what you feel for others. Not a thing to boast about but letting others know their importance can make your bond stronger. This ensures the other person and makes them realize that their presence really matters to you. Being grateful for their presence in your life tends to make them more passionate to stay with you and that's what you really want.
~ Always standing for each other:
Every person goes through ups and downs in life. In these ups and downs, there are times when you need someone to support you and make you realize your strengths. So, it's very important for you to be a part of both the bright and dark phases of your friend's life.
~ Help them to grow:
Every person desires growth in his/her life. You must always act as a promotor of their growth rather than acting as a barrier. It is rightly said, "A true friend accepts who you are, but also helps to become who you should be".
~ Silence:
As said before frequent talks are important but this silence mustn't be confused with it. This silence has some other meaning. For every strong bond, it is important to feel comfortable with each other's silence. It is truly said, "Silence has a lot to say". When other's silence is discomfort for you it simply means there's something that is lacking. When you sit together, your calm silence should give you the spirit of togetherness.
~ No more advices:
Taking more advice from different people/sources often leads to greater expectations and these expectations when not fulfilled lead to further distress and tensions in the bond. So, it is my advice to let it go free and unbound. Just like every person is different so are their relationships with their friends. So, never compare your bond with others. Enjoy each other's company, cherish the process, and bring out the best of you.
These were some tips that would help you to lead a strong and beautiful relationship with your friends. Always remember friends are the family you choose. Start with making a good choice and then never look back. Always remember the saying, "The only way to have a friend is to be the one" by Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Hope this article would help you in some way or the other. If it does you can thank me by taking out some time to write a comment for what would you like me to write about. This would help me in knowing your choice better.
Leaving with a giggle.
