• Face your fears:
A major reason for lack of confidence is a lot of fear. You start with thinking a lot then fearing a lot and then comes the feeling of ' Oh! I can't do it ', and finally landing up with a bulk of self-doubt. So, face your fears.
• Set up a relation between your self-esteem and your self-confidence:
Your self-esteem is a subjective measurement of your worth and value in your own eyes and self-confidence if your attitude for the work you are doing. If you set up a relation between your self-esteem and your self-confidence, magic is surely going to happen. Remember, the work you have great self-esteem for and that you do with great self-confidence is always going to be the best work.
• Reward yourself even when you achieve a bit of your big dream:
Often the reason for lack of confidence is your huge dream. A huge dream takes huge time and numerous efforts but you get disappointed when you can't see the result in the expected time. At this time you need to look back and appreciate whatever you have done. This will give you a sense of achievement and boost up your confidence for the task that is to be done next.
• Appreciate your strengths:
Life is too big. So, my dear friend take out some time from thinking and worrying about your flaws and have a look at what you already have, appreciate it, and focus more on improving and enhancing the skills you have rather than worrying about what you don't.
• Do not think much about insults and dishonor:
You don't do/work/speak anything because of the fear of getting insulted and laughed upon leading to decreasing confidence. Huh! Take out these words and kick them out of your dictionary because if they stay, they are only going to shrink your confidence even more.
• Be open to learning new things:
Thinking that you lack knowledge about any topic is a major cause of lower self-confidence. Come on! this world is way too big and so is the knowledge. You may not know everything but a learning attitude always helps. Change your attitude from 'I know everything' to 'I am still learning'. Now, this may seem inappropriate in the way of increasing confidence at first sight. But trust me this attitude will help you to learn more and so will help to increase confidence.
• A good body language:
Good body language always has a bunch of benefits. When we are talking about the confidence it has dual benefits. One, it helps to increase your confidence, and seconds, you seem to be confident in the eyes of the observer even when you are not. I guess this would be enough for you to understand the worth of good body language.
• Stop thinking about what they think:
This sentence is applicable in every aspect of life. Most of you lack confidence only because you think a lot about other's opinions about you. But trust me that doesn't matter at all. If people give you negative responses then have a look at them, work on them if they are the feedbacks that can help you in improving, and if not then never mind. Demotivation and hate are just to be taken through one ear and out the other.
I hope these methods can help you out in gaining self-confidence. I'll see you in my next blog. Till then goodbye and stay giggly.
Thank you, Mr. Reader, for giving your time to my blogs.
