Suffering from Sleepless Nights? Do this to get relief.

Eden Planners

A number of people go through sleepless nights. Today's youth has admitted maximum cases and the number keeps on increasing day to day. Take a deep breath 'cause the number can give you a shock.

In a survey by consumer products giant, it has been found that 93% of Indians are sleep deprived. Another survey says 9% of India's general population suffer insomnia and 18.6% suffer from occasional insomnia.
If you are suffering from sleepless nights and your entire night passes with you switching sides then you are at the right place. Sleepless nights may be the result of extreme workload, stress, or anxiety. Let's not get deeper into the cause. To know what to do next. I have mentioned some ways that can definitely help you to come out of this phase of sleepless nights:

Set an exact time to sleep: Do this for few weeks and you'll see that every day when clock hits the time, a message will be sent to your grain leading to a desire for sleep.

Keep your room dark: A dark room describes night and night describes the desire to sleep. If you face trouble in sleeping, avoid using night lights.

Avoid naps during the day:  If you are habitual of taking naps during the day, it is suggested to avoid them. This will reduce your energy level thus will provoke you to sleep.

Reduce mobile usage: In the present-day world when everything has shifted online you cannot stop using these devices for your every work. But keeping mobiles aside at least 30 minutes before going to bed can help you in some ways.

Listen soothing music:  Your body is trying to sleep but your mind wanders off. Listening to a calm music while sleeping ๐Ÿ˜ด can help to bring your focus in one single thing and this will help you to sleep.

Breathing exercise and yoga: At night when you are just switching sides and are trying to sleep just calm your body and take deep breaths. Yoga can be one of the best body relaxations and will help you to sleep. Viparita Karni can help you to sleep and Shashankasana can help to relax your body.

Read before going to bed: Develop a habit of reading anything either any self-help book or any other book of interest(not an e-book). This will help your mind to build focus and reduce its wandering off. And will ultimately lead to a deep sleep without disturbances.

Visit your Psychiatrist: Even after following all these tips if you are mot able to sleep even now then you should visit a psychiatrist because it may be a severe case of insomnia. Your psychiatrist can help you to come out of it in the best way.

Do this to get over Internet Addiction

Eden Planners

We have already discussed internet addiction and its side effects. If you too are not sure about your addiction then do visit the blog 'Check whether you are addicted to internet'.

The link is here:

https://gigglyhub.blogspot.com/2021/08/check-whether-you-are-addicted-to.html

Get over internet addiction:

I am going to discuss direct ways and some indirect ways to cope out with this addiction. Let's jump into the direct ways first.

The Direct Ways :

Understanding the wide range of disadvantages of internet addiction can itself give you a boost to try and leave this addiction. And once you start to try there's a lot in your hand already.

Replace-Remind-Focus It is always said to discard a lower consciousness, habit, replace it with a higher one. This can be the only way that can truly help you in coming out of this addiction from a long-term perspective.

So, replace your habit, every now and then remind yourself of that higher consciousness and focus on that consciousness only.

If still, you are not able to leave this habit then this indicates a lack of peace in your mind. For this, a daily dose of ten minutes of meditation can bring you that what many cannot. Try this and see the results on your own.

Now let's see the indirect ways for coping out with this addiction.

The Indirect Ways:

Manage your schedule: Give time to other hobbies that you love to be a part of and also fix a time slot for your phone/internet usage. Gradually decrease this time slot. This can help in some ways.

Turn off notifications: Whenever you try to take your mind away, notifications are something that drives your mind towards your phone again. So, turning off notifications can give you a big relief.

Reduce sources: Delete/uninstall all those applications and games which attract take most of the time of your day.

Use applications to lock your mobile and other applications: You can find a bunch of applications that lock your mobile for a set period of time. These applications can help you in some ways. Or you can turn off your phone and either keep it away or hand it over to someone

Follow people who inspire you towards your work and unfollow all those who are a source of distraction. Manage your friend circle and wind up yourself only with those people who have the same career alignments as you. This will motivate you to focus on your ultimate aim and you will never know when your addiction time has converted into improvement time.

NOTE:

Direct ways are the only ways that can help you in a real sense, the indirect ways will just help you to come out of the addiction for a short term. For long-term benefits, the direct ways are only the ones that can work.

I hope these tips will help you to get rid of your internet addiction. See you in my next blog. Till then goodbye and stay giggly.

Do you blame others for your faults?

Eden Planners

The Blame Game!

Before starting the main conversation, I want to ask a question to all of you. How many of you have blamed Instagram or YouTube for you sleeping late at night, for eating extra food because your friend insisted on it, or for poor marks in exams because of your bad teachers and talkative friends? I know the answer would be a Yes for a maximum number of you.

We as humans make a lot of mistakes in our life which is quite normal but we make a bigger mistake by not accepting it and an even greater mistake by blaming it on others. Should I call it a human tendency of blaming others for our mistakes?

Calling it a human tendency will only give a kick to our habit. Okay, I understand that I am no one to give you advice on whether you should continue with this habit or not. I will just tell you about its adverse effect on your growth.

~By blaming others, you get a way out for not doing your work again. And under this excuse, you get an edge for doing the same mistake again. This affects your ability to perform and thus adversely affects your efficiency.

~When you are blaming others for your mistakes, you get protection from worldly judgments just for a little span of time but still your subconscious mind in some ways knows that you have done something wrong. And when it strikes your subconscious mind, you gradually get to the stage of self-doubt and guilt.

And as you know both decreasing efficiency and self-doubt can be leading factors that affect your growth in life. I am sure everyone out there would be scared of these terms. Downfall, no growth, disgrace in life... these are terrifying words. Aren't they? Most people don't accept their fault because of the fear, the fear of facing people's response. I know we need to come out of this fear and stopping to blame others can be a major factor for screwing this fear away because you can decrease fear only by facing it. Promise yourself and say, 'Everything that happens to me in the future would only be the consequence of my present works'.

Also, my words should not be mistaken here. I have seen and met a lot of people who keep on blaming themselves for any wrong that happens to them. And these people are equally toxic. They face this feeling of self-doubt every now and then. The main focus here is to accept your faults, mark them as your life experiences that were meant to happen, and grow up by learning from them.

So, that's all for today see you in my next blog. Till then goodbye and stay giggly.

Thank you, Mr. Reader for giving your time to my blogs.

Acceptance and Adjustments

Eden Planners

Hey everyone!! Welcome to today's article. In my blogs, we have always been talking a lot about self-help. Anything which helps to improve your personality and to be a better version of yourself is self-help for you. Today we are going to discuss a very important topic which is societal adjustment.
Again, since our birth, we get in touch with a lot of social norms that we like or dislike according to our thought processes. According to me, our liking or disliking of the norms leading to ideologies-related tensions in today's households is the result of the generation gap. Now, the question arises, what should we do next? First, let us accept the fact that there are tensions and also accept that these tensions cannot be entirely deleted because this generation gap cannot be erased. Let's see what we can do to overcome this state of mismatching ideologies.

A message to...

Our generation:       What I have noticed in the present day generation is their nature to revolt. I am personally the one who keeps on debating with all of my family members and friends against the current social systems. But what I have learned through my learnings and experiences is that we shouldn't try to change what others think because just like we cannot change our thoughts it is as difficult for others to change theirs too. Rather we should try to be the change we want. Don't force your thoughts on others but also don't stay away from following and chasing your desires.

Older generations:      You guys out there are so civilized and well behaved that no one on this earth can neglect getting admired. Then why do these problems arise? What I have felt is that the way you think and behave is not the result of your ideologies but the result of the norms imposed on you by your previous generation that you somehow have to accept with time. And come on! don't worry there's nothing wrong with your doing this. Just try to be a less judgemental. You too get the same suggestion as the people of my generation get. Do whatever you like and want but never try to impose your ideology on someone else. And trust me this will work wonders for both of the generations.

The last common suggestion is... We should come to an agreement where both of the generations bend a bit towards each other to understand each other's ideologies as well as to keep our thoughts in front. We should embrace the truth that no ideology on this holy earth is wrong. It's our mental configuration that gives it the label of being wrong or right.

So, that is all for today's blog. I hope you will like it. See you in my next blog. Till then goodbye and stay giggly.

Thank you, Mr. Reader for giving your time to my blogs.

6 Tips to make a perfect schedule

Eden Planners

Design a perfect schedule!!

Making a schedule a night before you sleep is very important for utilizing your day efficiently and to the fullest. If you are struggling to design a perfect schedule for yourself this article can help you out.

I am going to give you the easiest and most important tips that you should remember while you are designing your schedule. Without wasting much of our time let's directly dive into the tips:

Tip 1) Start with short timeslots:  Our energy level is too high when we start to plan our schedule thus we end up getting a very busy one. If you are making a schedule for the first time it's my personal recommendation to start it slow and then gradually increase your time slots. Setting big slots from the very first day will put a negative impact on you about your busy schedule and that's not a good start at all.

Tip 2) Don't overload on the first day:   Overloading yourself with a lot of work on the very first day will lead to its incompletion and thus will stop you from setting a schedule again.

Tip 3) Stick hard to the schedule: Once your day starts, bet to follow your schedule to the fullest. Stick hard to your schedule and do whatever it takes to complete it.

Tip 4) Take small breaks:  Keeping yourself busy is a good thing but it may affect your efficiency. For working efficiently throughout the day you need to take small breaks which would help you to refresh and get back to your work with more energy.

Tip 5) Reward yourself:   Rewarding yourself for anything you have accomplished is even more important than accomplishing the task irrespective of your age. This will encourage you to do tasks more efficiently than before.

Tip 6) Not all days are great days:  We are human beings and we tend to have our low days. Any day if you couldn't perform well don't burst out. We always have a second chance and the second chance that is the next day is just a few hours away. So don't lose hope and start your day with full energy again.

Bonus Tip) 21 days practice rule:  Following the entire schedule would turn out to be very tough in the beginning. There would be times when you would wish to quit everything but that's the only time when you need to take a deep breath and start again. It is said that if you so a certain task for 21 days it would set in your veins and would flow as naturally as blood in them.

So that's all for today. I hope it helps. See you in my next blog till then goodbye and stay giggly.

Thank you  Mr.  Reader for giving your time to my blogs.

Learn To Say No

Eden Planners

It's your decision: Yes or No!!

Yes, you read it right. I know this statement is very uncommon and strange. I do know that saying 'NO' may even sound completely wrong to many of you especially to the Indian households. Since our very childhood, we have been taught to say yes to anything and everything. And that's why I find that the worth of 'NO' is underrated.

If you have some important work today and one of your colleagues insists for your company to a party tonight as he/ she has no one else to go with. Now, this will melt your heart since he/she has to go alone. Be honest, how many of you would hesitate to say no. I am sure most of you would. In a
survey, it has been found that 60-70% of Indians admit being shy. It can be easily seen that you are not alone my friend, 70%  of India's population is with you. So, let's just not focus on the fact that you are shy but let's find out how this article can help in improving your decision-making process and help you in choosing between saying yes or no.

There's just one hard and fast rule to help you out: Know your priorities.

If you set your priorities and decide to stick to them you can easily overcome this fear of saying no.

Below are the steps that can help you to choose between saying yes and saying no in any situation :

Step 1) Know the priority of the situation. If the situation will help you to accomplish higher priorities of your life then before thinking twice always say a yes to it.

Step 2) If it is of a lower priority then you need to wait and think about it for a while.              Tip: Never hesitate to ask for time to think.

There's no strict rule to deny the lower priorities every time. Sometimes lower priorities have indirect links with higher priorities. For example: going to a party to chill with your friends may sound misleading for a while but it may strengthen your bond with your friends and may help you to refresh and set back to your priorities more efficiently.

So, what should we do? Should I say yes to a lower priority straight away? Aa... Aa... Wait... Make no hurry. Let's dive into the third step.

Step 3) Set the frequency of saying yes to a lower priority in a month. This will give you a balance in your life. Now, setting the frequency is your task. If you have recently set your new priority and you are at a phase of putting high effort into it then you can decrease the frequency of indulging in lower priorities and if you are not in a struggling phase then you may increase them too.

Remember not to exceed the set frequency and say a yes or a no accordingly.

This was the last step in deciding between saying yes and no. Hope it will help you in enhancing your decision-making ability. Till then goodbye and stay giggly.

7 Secrets To Happy Life

Eden Planners

Do you want to live a Happy Life

                                         and couldn't figure out how?

Don't worry you are in the right place. Let's figure it out.

If someone asks you what is your ultimate goal in life I am sure staying happy will be on top of the list. Everyone on this earth search for pleasure and happiness in their lives. We should stay happy in life. I know that you all are well aware of what you should do and shouldn't do so, I am not going deeper into it. In this blog, we are going to change the perspective from 'What to do' to 'How to do'.

So, without wasting further time let's directly dive into how to stay happy.

  • Rejoice in small pleasures:     The mistake that all of us make is that in this search for happiness we forget to rejoice in small pleasures which are around us every now and then. Further, the bigger mistake that we make is not following this lesson of life even after knowing that we should.
One way of doing this is by rewarding yourself for the smallest achievements. It sounds way too silly and childish but trust me if you start doing this, you will see the difference on your own. Have a meal of your choice, buy something you have wanted for a long time or just turn on music and create a party ambiance for yourself.

  • Spend time with your family:    I know saying this is easy but in the present-day world it is extremely difficult to take out spare time when you are already running out of time. But I can equally understand the need for a companion to share the daily tensions that you go through. Sharing a small snack time with your family is very important. It will help you to refresh and start your work again. In case you are far from your family then frequent calls at least once a week can create a big difference.

  • Plan outings:    I do know planing frequent outings or trips amidst such a busy schedule is next to impossible. But don't worry I am not talking about planning big trips. I am just talking about short end-of-the-month trips or outing to a nearby cafe with your friends would surely work wonders.

  • Spend less time on your devices:      In today's world when you do all of your work on your PC and mobile phones it becomes very difficult to stay away from them. In this case, I would recommend taking frequent breaks and not using your devices anytime other than your work. Now, this would sound very strange. How can one relate using devices and happiness? When you spend most of your time on your devices it makes you cranky and thus adversely affects your path of happiness.

  • Give time to self-help books:      I know no one wants to read books. I am not asking for much of your time. Just take out 20 minutes from your schedule and read a self-help book before sleeping. The main reason for distress found in today's youngsters is the lack of knowing themselves. Taking out some time to read a self-help book can definitely pave you to the path of happiness.

  • Eat healthy:      A healthy eating habit and lifestyle promotes healthy living and thus promotes happy living. Remember the saying a healthy and happy mind resides in a healthy body is one hundred percent true.

  • Stay away from negative people:    Last but not least is to stay away from negative people. It may sound simple but I assure you it can act as a game-changer for you. Negativity is a hindrance to our goal of happiness. Anytime and anywhere you see the path of negativity, what you have to do is to take a step back and run so fast that it wouldn't touch you. Staying positive would mean conquering half of the way to happiness.

These were a few of the ways that will help you to live a happy life. I hope you will like this small initiative of mine of helping you out staying happy. See you in my next blog, till then take care and goodbye.

Thank you Mr. Reader for giving your time to my blogs.

Life & The Game Of Carrom

Eden Planners

                            The  Game  Of   Carrom

Staying giggly in life is very important. And fulfilling our dreams somehow have a direct relation with it. Let's see how this game of Carrom can be a source of our dream fulfillment and indirectly the source of our giggle.

Don't worry! I'm not here to teach you carrom for sure but I am here is to make you know what I have learnt from this game which will definitely help all of us in playing the game of life efficiently. Amidst the situation of Covid-19, when everything was locked, sitting at home made us do at least something. My sister suggested playing Carrom and that's how we started. Carrom is a very popular game of Indian origin and is widespread in many neighboring countries like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Maldives, and Nepal where people love to spend some part of their day with it. The word itself creates a lot of confusion. Some people call it Carrom and others say Karom. Whatever the real word be I am gonna use Carrom just for the sake of convenience.

What I have noticed and learnt from this game is that just like Carrom life offers a lot of opportunities too. In the game of Carrom, you never know that the piece you have an eye on will once again be in your domain of hitting 'cause pieces will never be in the same position as they were in the previous turn. So, the first chance you get to hit a piece is akin to the last chance and if you lose it, there's a very high possibility of finding the same piece in your opponent's pocket till your turn comes. What we need to do is to keep an eye on our target and do whatever it takes to achieve it in one go. We should never wait for a second chance. It is the rule of life, if you are not desperate to grab opportunities coming your way someone else who's more desperate will grab them. So, just seize the opportunity whenever you see it. Don't take even a second to think twice about how and when to start working for it. Just start it anyway and you'll see the results yourself. What is to be noted here is that this desire of grabbing opportunities mustn't be mistaken for negative competition and jealousy. Grabbing opportunities is essential in life but snatching them away from others by some wrong means is never a good choice.

That's all for the day. With this note, I am gonna end this blog. See you in my next blog till then stay giggly.
