Everyone around us is talking about mobile and internet addiction so why shouldn't we? After all, it is a very important topic of self-improvement today.
Know whether you are addicted:
Do you feel lonely when you don't have a phone with you or do you just keep engrossed in the phone even when you are with your friends and family? If the answer is a yes then, there's a chance that you are suffering from phone or internet addiction. Let's see what can be the severe effects of internet addiction. Maybe this will help you in realizing where you are going wrong and will help you in coming out of it.
Physical health issues:
~Sitting at a place for long hours can give you adverse health effects. Already in Gen Z is lacking the importance of physical activities over this, internet addiction can make you sit at one single place for many long hours. Which can typically prove wrong for anyone.
~Decreasing eyesight is a major issue. A large number of people of Gen Z have poor eyesight at a very young age. Excessive mobile usage can be a major source of it.
~Body aches, insomnia, weight loss, or weight gain may be some other health issues.
Now let's move to Mental health issues which are more severe than any of the physical health issues.
~Lower self-esteem and mood swings.
~Internet addiction can cause anxiety, loneliness, and even depression.
~It can also cause OCD that is Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder which is a disorder in which people get regular unwanted thoughts and ideas which force them to do something repetitively.
Some other problems:
~You soon don't like people's company and seek for being alone every time.
~As you know time once gone is gone. This addiction can waste many long hours and days which in some ways decrease your productivity and interest.
~It may result in you lacking goals in life and when you lack goals in life, you lack hope in life and soon lack interest in life which is as severe as it sounds.
~Whatever hours you spend in this addiction your heart knows that you are going somewhere wrong in life. This at the end of the day takes you to the condition of self-doubt and guilt.
~Remember, whatever you name this habit it is still an addiction, and addiction never stops, it increases its frequency with time. It is the right time ⌚ to your habit and to put your efforts in the right direction.
