Top 6 tips to get fluent in English Speaking: Personality Development

Eden Planners

English speaking has now become a necessity. A lot of you would have a bunch of skills but would lag from others just because of a language. At this stage, you should not worry much. Getting excellence in speaking any language is way too easy. It may sound so unrealistic to you but my dear friend speaking any language is just the name of observing, practicing, and more of gaining confidence to speak. Once you get this confidence you are good to go. So, without any ado let's directly have a look at the ways that can help you in becoming proficient in English speaking.

It is already said that speaking a language is just about
being confident. And once you are confident you would be able to see the exponential growth in your speaking skills. It is the first and most important step in the ladder of becoming pro in English speaking.

Say anything that comes to your mind. The starting would be rough, you would make a lot of mistakes, would have a way too poor accent, at times you may seem to be a laughing stock out of everyone but this will be a stepping stone for your progress.

Participate in as many speaking/ debate groups as you can. In the beginning, you will surely hesitate in taking even a word out of your mouth but as soon as you start no one can stop you thereafter.

Develop a habit of reading articles or books. They will help you in understanding different styles of English writing and will add up a bunch of new vocabulary to your dictionary.

Convert your style of entertainment. If you like to watch TV shows and movies in a certain language then switch it to English. Listen to your e-books and podcasts in English. Listening is the most efficient way of learning anything fast. Trust me if you do this it would be the fastest of any other method mentioned.

In the beginning, you will surely hesitate in speaking English in front of others. So stand up and talk with the mirror. Take a topic and decide to speak about it for one minute and gradually increase the time or you can act as you are sitting an interview. This will boost up your confidence and will soon enhance your English speaking skills.

I hope this will help you out in some ways. See you in my next blog. Till then goodbye and stay giggly.

Thank you, Mr. Reader, for giving your time to my blogs.

Do this to Increase your Confidence: Personality Development

Eden Planners
The worth and importance of self-confidence are self-explanatory. A lot of us are stuck in the vicious circle of self-doubt, lower self-esteem, and zero self-confidence. I know you are way too anxious and willing to know the ways of boosting your confidence leading you to land up at this article. So, without wasting much of your time let's dive into the methods directly.

Face your fears:

A major reason for lack of confidence is a lot of fear. You start with thinking a lot then fearing a lot and then comes the feeling of ' Oh! I can't do it ',  and finally landing up with a bulk of self-doubt. So, face your fears.

Set up a relation between your self-esteem and your self-confidence:

Your self-esteem is a subjective measurement of your worth and value in your own eyes and self-confidence if your attitude for the work you are doing. If you set up a relation between your self-esteem and your self-confidence, magic is surely going to happen. Remember, the work you have great self-esteem for and that you do with great self-confidence is always going to be the best work.

Reward yourself even when you achieve a bit of your big dream:

Often the reason for lack of confidence is your huge dream. A huge dream takes huge time and numerous efforts but you get disappointed when you can't see the result in the expected time. At this time you need to look back and appreciate whatever you have done. This will give you a sense of achievement and boost up your confidence for the task that is to be done next.

Appreciate your strengths:

Life is too big. So, my dear friend take out some time from thinking and worrying about your flaws and have a look at what you already have, appreciate it, and focus more on improving and enhancing the skills you have rather than worrying about what you don't.

Do not think much about insults and dishonor:

You don't do/work/speak anything because of the fear of getting insulted and laughed upon leading to decreasing confidence. Huh! Take out these words and kick them out of your dictionary because if they stay, they are only going to shrink your confidence even more.

Be open to learning new things:

Thinking that you lack knowledge about any topic is a major cause of lower self-confidence. Come on! this world is way too big and so is the knowledge. You may not know everything but a learning attitude always helps. Change your attitude from 'I know everything' to 'I am still learning'. Now, this may seem inappropriate in the way of increasing confidence at first sight. But trust me this attitude will help you to learn more and so will help to increase confidence.

A good body language:

Good body language always has a bunch of benefits. When we are talking about the confidence it has dual benefits. One, it helps to increase your confidence, and seconds, you seem to be confident in the eyes of the observer even when you are not. I guess this would be enough for you to understand the worth of good body language.

Stop thinking about what they think:

This sentence is applicable in every aspect of life. Most of you lack confidence only because you think a lot about other's opinions about you. But trust me that doesn't matter at all. If people give you negative responses then have a look at them, work on them if they are the feedbacks that can help you in improving, and if not then never mind. Demotivation and hate are just to be taken through one ear and out the other.

I hope these methods can help you out in gaining self-confidence. I'll see you in my next blog. Till then goodbye and stay giggly.

Thank you, Mr. Reader, for giving your time to my blogs.

7 Best tips to reduce your Talkative nature: Personality Development

Eden Planners

If you are one of those who can't stop themself from speaking every now and then and you are looking for some tips to change this nature then you are at the right place.

Firstly, being very talkative or excessively extroverted is all okay! There's nothing to worry about it. Any person on this earth is born with both the characters: introvert as well as an extrovert. It's just that any one of the two characters is a bit dominant over the other and thus it shows its effect more often.

Before getting further into the depth of the topic it should be clear in mind that these two are just characters and none of the two can be kept over the other, none of them can be considered good or bad. To this, the question arises then why are we even discussing it?

It's only because both being extremely introverted and being extremely extroverted can prove to be an obstacle for you in different domains. For example: If you are extremely extroverted and you cannot stop yourself from speaking anything that comes to your mind then at times people can label you as an ill-mannered or mad person whereas when you are extremely introverted then you may face some issues in expressing yourself and even you may face difficulty in sitting an interview. What is to be noted here is that: you absolutely do not need to change yourself, you just need to modify and develop the other part of your nature just to maintain a balance between the two.

Now, let's see how we can reduce this excessive extrovert nature:

Take deep breathing before reacting. This will sound tough but when you work on it gradually it becomes a habit. This breath gives you time to think about how you should react to a situation and will guide you in thinking what you should speak next.

Listen to others and observe things around you. A good listener is always a great speaker. So, rather than focusing on your speaking skills try and focus on your listening skills first.

Write what you think. This will surely help you to reduce your talkative nature and a present in disguise will be the writing skills that you will develop. And thus writing down your thoughts will help you to develop two different characters.

Spend some time alone with nature, see, feel and observe what's around you. This will also help you in becoming a greater observant.

Most of the people who talk too much seek justification from others because of lack of confidence. Stop thinking about what they think and stop justifying yourself. Work hard for developing confidence.

• Also people who think a lot about themselves tend to talk a lot in boasting about themselves. Thinking less about yourself can help a lot if you are in this way.

Calm your mind, work out on temper controlling and meditate. Calming your mind, it can help in increasing thoughtfulness and thus can help you way too much. A calm mind thinks more and speaks less though apt and to the point.

So that's all for the article. I hope it helps.

If you are looking for reducing your introverted nature and are trying to become extrovert then part 1 of this section is linked below. Till then goodbye and stay giggly.

7 Best tips to become an Extrovert: Personality Development

Eden Planners

Now, let's dig out how to maintain a balance starting for an introverted personality:

(Reducing extrovert nature is discussed in the next part of this series)

Participate in as many speaking groups. I know you are going to hesitate a lot but force yourself to at least stand and say whatever right or wrong comes to your mind.

• Do not care about what they will think. This is the main reason for your introverted nature and if you want to get out of this nature you surely should not think about the perceptions that people have about you.

• Maintain your body language. A low body can send back all those introvert feels to your brain that you are trying to lose. Maintaining good body language can surely help you to gain confidence and will help you to remove your shyness.

Do not think much before speaking. Speak whatever comes to your mind and react according to your reflexes. Do not try to suppress your emotions.

Talk in front of a mirror. Pick up any random topic and try to speak about it for a minute and gradually increase the time slot.

• Gaining perfection in your own language. You think you cannot speak well in English and this is the main reason that you do not participate in English debates and meetings, feel fearful of having a conversation in an audio/video call, and much more to count. But it must be noted that at some places English speaking becomes a necessity and for that, you can check out various articles that can help you for sure. Remember language is just the game of confidence, practice, and perfection.

Say a yes to all the practices that will give you a kick in becoming an extrovert. If you hesitate in going out with friends, hey come on! make a call right now and plan a trip. Try to be as free as possible and bring out your inner self.

Most introverts hesitate in saying no to people. For this, I already have a dedicated article on the topic 'Learn To Say No'. Do check it out if you feel the same too.

https://gigglyhub.blogspot.com/2021/07/its-your-decision-yes-no.html

These are the top 7 ways that can help you to become an extrovert. Any other method can only assist these 7 methods. So, keep practicing and focus hard on the methods that I have mentioned. See you in the next part of this Personality Development Series where we will discuss how you can reduce your extremist extrovert nature. Till then goodbye and stay giggly.

Tips For Anger Management: Personality Development

Eden Planners

In simple words, anger is just an emotion. But do you know how excessive and frequent anger strokes can adversely affect your mental as well as physical health? Anxiety and mental health issues are already known but increasing levels of blood pressure and increasing the risk of heart attack anger can affect your physical health too.

According to me learning anger management skills is one of the major parts of personality development. So, let's learn the methods...

Do not respond immediately: Anger is an immediate response. What you need to do is to counter-attack this immediate response by taking some time to think and then respond. And once you take your time you'll notice that the anger demolishes slowly.

Take deep breaths: Whenever you feel angry start taking deep breaths. This will increase oxygen supply to your mind and will help you to think logically and wisely.

See the long-term alignment: If you are angry take a pause and think about whether you will be worried or angry on the same topic after a day, a month, or after a year too. If no, take deep breaths and divert your mind.

Reduce your perceptions and expectation from other people: Usually, we get angry only because things don't go your way. The person in front of you does something unexpected which irritates you and you get angry. The only way of getting out of it is by reducing your perceptions about others.

Laugh it out: Apparently, it would be tough to laugh out in a situation of anger but when you start and develop it as a habit then you'll notice the changes on your own.

Meditate and yoga: Meditation and yoga are the tried and tested ways of developing permanent anger management skills.

I hope these ways would work out for you and soon you'll get pro in anger management skills. See you in the next part of the personality development series.

Till then goodbye and stay giggly.
